Clam Fritters *(McHaney)*

Ingredients

  • 5-6 cleaned clams
  • 1 med. sized bell pepper
  • 1 med. sized onion
  • 1 Heaping teaspoon baking powder
  • Flour to thicken

Method

  1. Grind clams, onions and bell peppers.
  2. Add baking powder and just enough flour to make mixture hold together.
  3. Drop from a teaspoon into deep hot fat til brown on one side, flip and finish cooking.
  4. Drain on paper towel.

  • Delicious when served with plenty of catsup, sliced tomatoes and fresh cooked string beans.
