Pismo Beach proper, the stretch south of Grand Avenue, and the Oceano Dunes State Vehicular Recreation Area together form the most productive Pismo clam habitat on the Central Coast. Beach access varies by area, and the productivity of any given stretch shifts with seasonal sand movement.
